Tamasine Kimber trained as a Musical Theatre actress many moons ago and has a Fellowship in Music Theatre from the London College of Music. She spent her early 20's singing and dancing her way through a variety of musical theatre roles.
Since having her children, Tamasine has established a very successful performing arts teaching career, running her own performing arts academy alongside being a head of drama at a Surrey girls’ prep school and teaching singing on a one to one basis. In 2010 she was awarded the ‘Best Vocal Teacher - South London’ by the London College of music exam board.
Tamasine retrained in cabaret a few years ago under Paul L. Martin and has enjoyed performing her one woman shows 'The Girl in the Red Shoes' and 'The Girl in the Red Shoes Strikes Back' at venues such as The Pheasantry and Brasserie Toulouse Lautrec.
In 2018 Tamasine was part of the new all female musical comedy trio ‘The Secret Divorce Society’ who took their self devised and written musical comedy ‘Till Death Us Do Part?’ the Edinburgh Fringe Festival performing to sell out audiences at Paradise Green in the Vault. .
Tamasine is currently developing a new musical comedy duo with Celia Delaney which will hit the cabaret and comedy scene in 2019!
Tamasine is regularly asked to perform at showcases for up and coming composers and is occasional host of West End Wendies open mic night.
Tamasine is committed to promoting positivity and mental health awareness in the performing arts. As a mother of a son with Special Educational Needs, she is also committed to her journey to support others in the world of SEN parenthood, particularly in the performing arts industry and works within her educational practice to support children in their development to aid good mental health and a positive learning journey.
